Notes on use of the “Memory Stick”

¥You cannot record, edit, or delete images when the write-protect switch is set to LOCK. The position or the shape of the write-protect switch may differ depending on the ÒMemory StickÓ you use.

¥Data may be damaged in the following cases:

ÐRemoving the ÒMemory StickÓ or turning off the camera while reading or writing data.

ÐUsing the camera in a location subject to the effects of static electricity or noise.

¥We recommend you back up any important data.

¥Do not attach any other material than the supplied label on the labeling position.

¥When you attach the supplied label, be sure to attach it to the labeling position. Be careful that the label does not stick out.

¥When you carry or store the ÒMemory Stick,Ó put it in the case supplied with it.

¥Do not touch the terminals of a ÒMemory StickÓ with your hand or a metal object.

¥Do not strike, bend or drop a ÒMemory Stick.Ó

¥Do not disassemble or modify a ÒMemory Stick.Ó

¥Do not expose the ÒMemory StickÓ to water.

¥Avoid using or storing the ÒMemory StickÓ in the following places:

ÐIn a car parked in the sun, or at a high temperature.

ÐUnder direct sunlight.

ÐIn a humid place or near corrosive material.

Notes on use of the “Memory Stick Duo”

¥Be sure to insert the ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ into the Memory Stick Duo Adaptor when using the ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ with the camera. If you insert the ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ into the camera without attaching the Memory Stick Duo Adaptor, you may not be able to remove the ÒMemory Stick Duo.Ó

¥Verify that you are inserting the ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ in the proper direction when inserting it into the Memory Stick Duo Adaptor.

¥Verify that you are inserting the Memory Stick Duo Adaptor in the proper direction when inserting it into the camera. Inserting it in the wrong direction may cause a malfunction.

¥Do not insert a ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ that is not inserted into a Memory Stick Duo Adaptor into a ÒMemory StickÓ-compatible unit. This may cause a malfunction of the unit.

¥When formatting the ÒMemory Stick Duo,Ó insert the ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ into the Memory Stick Duo Adaptor.

¥When the ÒMemory Stick DuoÓ is equipped with the write protect switch, release its lock.
