Editing methods
You can use the following types of editing on this VCR. If you use this VCR as a playback VCR, see page 40.

Synchronized editing
You can synchronize starting and pausing of recording on this VCR (recorder) and starting and pausing of playback on another VCR (player). You need a VCR equipped with a LANC jack for this editing.
Duplicating a tape
You can copy the same time codes recorded on another VCR (player) onto this VCR (recorder). This function is enabled when the source tape is DVCAM formatted and you make DV connections. If you copy a source tape using this function, you can make a work tape having the same time codes as the source tape. The contents of the cassette memory are not copied. You need a DVCAM VCR equipped with a DV output jack and LANC jack.
Assemble editing
You can edit up to 10 events at a time automatically. To use this function, you need a VCR equipped with a LANC jack.
Video/Audio insert
With 12bit mode (Fs32k), you can select the track, stereo 1 or 2, to be replaced. You can execute video insert and audio insert editing at the same time.
If you use a VCR (player) equipped with a LANC jack, you can synchronize the start of insert on this VCR (recorder) with the start of playback on another VCR (player.) At the time of video insert editing, a part of sub code data are replaced simultaneously.
