Troubleshooting (Continued)

The aspect ratio of the playback is not correct when connecting your camcorder to the TV.

• Set [TV TYPE] depending on your TV (p. 74).

The image appears distorted on the 4:3 TV.

This happens when viewing an image recorded in the 16:9 (wide) mode on a 4:3 TV. Set [TV TYPE] correctly (p. 74) and play back the image. If you view the image on a 4:3 TV, black bands may appear at the top and bottom of the screen. This is not a malfunction.
