You cannot install the USB driver software.

•The dedicated USB cable is not correctly connected.

tConnect the cable correctly (page 15). •Device other than this unit is connected

to the USB jack on the personal computer.

tDisconnect the USB devices except the keyboard and the mouse.

•“Memory Stick” is not in the unit.

tInsert “Memory Stick” into the unit.

Memory Stick icon does not appear in Explorer or My computer.

•The connection between the personal computer and the unit is not correct. tConnect the cable correctly (page 15).

•“Memory Stick” is not in the unit.

tInsert “Memory Stick” into the unit.

The music data on your computer cannot be read.

•If you perform the “System Restore” function of Windows Me, the music data may become corrupted.(page 9)

tUse the available backup data.

After inserting “Memory Stick” into the drive, the access lamp blinks.

•The terminals on “Memory Stick” are exposed to dust or dirt, etc.

tAfter removing the foreign object, reinsert the “Memory Stick.”
