Only peripherals (c omputer input/out put
devices, terminals, printers, etc.) that comply

shielded and grounded. Operation with cables
connected to peripherals that are not shielded

FCC Part 68
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the
FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the
ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a
label that contai ns, among other in formation, a
product identifie r in the format
US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. If requested, this
information must b e provided to the telephone
company.
This modem uses the USOC RJ11C tele phone
jack.
The REN is used to determine th e number of
devices which may be connected to the
telephone line. Excessive RENs on the
telephone line may result in th e devices not
ringing in response to an incomi ng call. In
most, but not all areas, the sum of the RENs
should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of
the number of devices that may be connected to
the line, as determined by the to tal RENs,
contact the telephone company to determine t he
maximum REN for the calling area. For
products approved after July 23, 2001, the REN
for this product is part of the product identifier
that has the format US: AAAEQ##TXXXX.
The digits represented by ## are the REN
without a decimal point (e.g., 03 is a REN of
0.3). For earlier products, the R EN is separately
shown on the label.
If this equipment causes harm to the telephone
network, the telephone company will notify yo u
in advance that temporary discontinuance of
service may be required. If advance notice is
not practical, the telephone company will n otify
the customer as soon as possible. Also, you will
be advised of your rig ht to f ile a co mp la in t w i th
the FCC if you believe it is neces sary.
The telephone company may make changes in
its facilities, equipment, operations or
procedures that could affect the operations of
the equipment. If this happens, the telephone
company will provide advance notice in order
for you to make the necessary modifications in
