Step 2: Setting the clock
Recorded audio files (tracks) are named using the date and time of the internal clock. By setting the clock before recording, the recording’s date and time will be correctly saved.
1When the recorder is turned on before the clock has been set, “SET CLOCK” appears in the display. After about 3 seconds, the message disappears automatically, and the “CLOCK” display of the menu appears.
2Press the UP and DOWN buttons to set the year (y), and press the ENTER button.
3Repeat step 2 to set the month (m), day (d), hour, minute, and second. Then press the ENTER button after setting the seconds to start operating the clock.
To reset the clock
1While the recorder is stopped, press the MENU button to display the menu.
2Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select “CLOCK,” and press the ENTER button.
The “CLOCK” display appears.
3Follow steps 2 and 3 of “Step 2: Setting the clock” to reset the clock.
Note
•If you leave the recorder for more than approximately 10 minutes with no battery inserted, the date and time change to the default settings. In this case, reset the clock.
