Opening the side cover

To remove the side panel from the main unit, proceed as follows:

1Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripheral devices.

2Unplug the computer from the mains.

3Wait until the computer cools down.

The inside of the main unit becomes very hot during operation. Wait for about one hour for the computer to cool down before opening the unit.

4Position the main unit so the back panel is facing you.

5Locate the tab on the upper right side of the rear panel, and pull it back until the side cover releases.

6Lift the side cover away from the unit and set it aside.
