Identifying parts and controls

Player

5-way control key

Plays the MD and adjusts the volume.

Operation lamp

Displays the remaining power of the battery, the play mode, etc.

Player (when lid is open)

HOLD switch

Prevents accidental button presses.

GROUP button

Selects a group in an MD to play.

(headphones) jack

OPEN lever

Opens the lid of the player.

Terminals for the battery charging stand

BUILT-IN BATTERY switch

Switches the power supply to the player on or off. Normally keep the switch to the ON position.
