Setting a Component Code by the Search Function

You can find a code number available for a component that doesn’t have one in the supplied “Component code numbers.”

Before starting the Search function

Set each component to the following status so that the Search function works effectively.

TV, AMP: Power-on

CD player, MD player*, cassette deck: Power-on with a playback source (disc, cassette tape, etc.)

Other components: Power-off

*If any of these components are assigned to any of the Component Select buttons (page 33), you can set a component code using the Search function.
