This model meets internationalguidelines for exposure to radio waves
Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is
designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves
recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were
developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP and
include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all
persons, regardless of age and health.
For body worn operation, t his phone h as been tes ted and mee ts
RF exposure guideli nes when us ed with an accessory t hat contai ns
no metal and that positions the handset a minimu m of 15 mm fr om
the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance
with RF exposure guidelines.
The guideline s use a unit of me asurement known as th e Specific
Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is
2 W/kg and the highest SAR value for this device when tested at
the ear was 1.03 W/kg (10g)*. As mobile devices offer a range of
functions, they can be used in other positions, such as on the
body. In the case where the phone is wo rn directl y on the bod y, the
highest tested SAR value is 1.24 W/kg (10g)*.
As SAR is measured utilizing the devices highest transmitting
power the actual SAR of this device while operating is typically
below that indicated above. This is due to automatic changes to
the power level of the device to ensure it only uses the minimum
level required to reach the network.
The World Health Org anization has stated that prese nt scienti fic
information does not indic ate the nee d for any special pr ecautions
for the use of mobile d evices. Th ey note tha t if you wan t to reduce
your expo sure t hen yo u can do so by lim iting the l ength of ca lls or
using a hands-fre e device to keep th e mobile ph one away fr om the
head and body.
