To install and use the USB cable

When you connect your phone to a computer using the USB cable, the phone memory and Memory Stick appear as drives or devices on the computer. If you are a Windows user, you can install the USB cable drivers using the CD that comes with your phone, % 69 To install and use the USB cable.

Only use the USB cable that comes with the phone, and connect the USB cable directly to your computer. Do not remove the USB cable from the phone or computer during file transfer, as this may corrupt the Memory Stick and the phone memory. You cannot view the transferred files in your phone until you have removed the USB cable from the phone.

You can use the drag-and-drop functionality in your computer to:

Transfer files between your phone and the computer.

Move, delete and organize files in the phone memory or on the Memory Stick.

Uninstall any previously used mobile phone communication software, such as synchronization software, from your computer.

1Computer: Install the Sony Ericsson PC Suite from the CD that comes with your phone.

2Connect the USB cable to your phone and the computer.

3Phone: In the pop-up } Phone Mode to synchronize with the computer or to use your phone as a modem. } File Transfer to transfer music, pictures and other files to your phone. The phone will turn off in File Transfer mode.
