SEAT POST SETUP

!Warning: Read the following instructions on proper seat post adjustment before riding your Specialized Enduro. Failure to follow these instructions can result in damage to the equipment and rider.

ENDURO MODELS

On 2002-2004 Enduro models, the interrupted seat tube design is NOT equipped with a seat post insertion limiting stop at the base of the seat tube which allows for a wide range of adjustment for extension and insertion to accommodate certain types of terrain and riding styles.

SEATPOST MINIMUM INSERTION: The frame design allows the seat post to be lowered below the base of the seat tube. While this allows a wider range of adjustment, it also makes the shock vulnerable to damage due to contact from the edge of the seat post if lowered too far. Avoiding contact between the seatpost and shock is also important to achieve proper suspension function.

To help protect the rear shock from impact damage, a small rubber bumper is included. This bumper is to be placed on the shock body where it would intersect with the seatpost if it were lowered to the shock. This will help to protect the shock from damage and maintain proper suspension function.
