Important Operation Instructions
NEVER operate the elliptical without reading and completely understanding the results of any operational change you request from the computer.
NEVER use your Elliptical during an electrical storm. Surges may occur in your household power supply that could damage the Elliptical electrical components. Unplug the power supply from the wall during an electrical storm to ensure no damage will occur.
Do not use excessive pressure on console control keys. They are precision set to properly function with little finger pressure. Pushing harder is not going to make the unit go faster or slower. If you feel the buttons are not functioning properly with normal pressure, contact your Spirit dealer.
The elliptical has a safety feature that sets the pedals to the highest resistance setting when the unit is powered on or if the elliptical is idle. This ensures that the footpads are difficult to move. This feature prevents a curious child from being harmed. This safety feature also gives you a stable platform when you first mount the elliptical. Once a program is started, the resistance setting will change to the first setting of that program. To disengage this feature, see the maintenance section at the back of this manual.
