MALLAS WEBER® CONTRA ARAÑAS E INSECTOS

La barbacoa de gas Weber®, al igual que cualquier otro aparato de gas al aire libre, es un blanco para las arañas y demás insectos. Pueden crear sus nidos en la sección del venturi (1) del tubo quemador. Esto bloquea el flujo normal de gas, y puede causar que el gas fluya hacia atrás por la válvula de aire de combustión. Esto puede resultar en un fuego en y alrededor de las aberturas para el aire de combustión, causando un daño serio a la barbacoa.

La compuerta de cierre del aire del tubo quemador está equipada con una malla (2) de acero inoxidable para prevenir la entrada de arañas e insectos a los tubos quemadores a través de las aberturas para el aire de combustión.

Le recomendamos que inspeccione las mallas contra arañas e insectos por lo menos una vez al año. (Vea la sección: “Mantenimiento anual”) También, inspeccione y limpie dichas mallas si cualquiera de los siguientes síntomas se presentase:

1)Olor a gas en conjunción con llamas del quemador con un apariencia muy amarilla y floja.

2)La barbacoa no alcanza la temperatura de funcionamiento.

3)La barbacoa se calienta de manera dispareja.

4)Uno o más quemadores no se encienden.

PELIGRO

El no corregir estos síntomas pudiera resultar en un fuego que puede causar lesiones corporales serias o la muerte y daños a la propiedad.

PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA LIMPIEZA DEL QUEMADOR

PRINCIPAL

CIERRE EL SUMINISTRO DE GAS.

Retire el múltiple (vea “Reemplace los quemadores principales”).

Revise la parte interna de cada quemador con una linterna.

Limpie la parte interna de los quemadores con un alambre (un colgador de ropa enderezado funcionará bien). Revise y limpie la abertura de las compuertas de cierre del aire en los extremos de los quemadores. Revise y limpie los orificios de las válvulas en la base de las válvulas. Utilice un cepillo de cerdas de acero para limpiar la parte externa de los quemadores. Esto se hace para asegurarse de que las aberturas de los quemadores estén completamente abiertas.

PRECAUCIÓN: Al limpiar, no agrande las aberturas del quemador.

REEMPLACE LOS QUEMADORES

PRINCIPALES

1) Su barbacoa de gas Summit® debe estar apagada y fría.

2) Cierre el gas en la fuente.

3) Desconecte el suministro de gas.

4) Retire las parrillas de cocción.

5)Retire la caja de ahumado.

6) Retire las barras Flavorizer®.

RETIRE EL PANEL DE CONTROL:

7) Parte requerida: Destornillador Phillips. a) Retire las perillas de control de los

quemadores.

b) Retire los dos tornillos que sujetan el panel de control al bastidor.

c) Retire el panel de control. Incline el panel hacia adelante y levántelo alejándolo de la barbacoa.Retire completamente

al panel de control (4) del ensamble de la caja de cocción para exponer las válvulas, los quemadores, el encendedor y el múltiple.
