2. Plumbthe Sun 10GbE XFP SR PCI Express Card interface:
where xxx.xxx.xx.xxx = the IP address of the interface.
3. Addthe VLAN instance (VID).
For example:
where eth6 is the interface and 5is the VID.
Note – In Linux systems, you can use any single digit as the VID.
4. Configurethe ixgbe VLAN (eth2 in this example):
where xxx.xxx.xx.xxx = the IP address of the interface.

2003 Environment
1. ClickControl Panel.
2. ClickNetwork Connection.
3. Clickthe folder icon from the sub-manual bar.
4. Right-clickthe Sun 10GbE XFP SR PCI Express Card port, then select
Properties.
5. ClickConfigure.
6. ClickVLAN, then click on New.
7. TypeVLAN with ID (for example, type Vlan10).
8. ClickInternet Protocol (TCP/IP).
9. ClickUse the following IP address.
10. Typethe IP address.
#ifconfig eth6 xxx.xxx.xx.xxx up
#vconfig add eth6 5
#ifconfig eth6.5 xxx.xxx.xx.xxx up
