Floppy B

Move the cursor to these fields via up and down <arrow> keys to select the floppy type. The options are Disabled, 360 KB 5 1/4", 1.2 MB 5 1/4", 720 KB 3½", 1.44 MB 3½”, and 2.88 MB 3½".

Onboard Floppy Controller

Use this setting to Enable or Disable the onboard floppy controller.

Onboard IDE Controller

There is a single floppy controller on the motherboard, which may be Enabled or Disabled with this setting.

Serial ATA Devices

This setting is used to determine if SATA drives will be used and how many. Op- tions are Disabled, Device 0, Device 0/1 and Device 0/1/2.

nVidia RAID Function

This setting is used to Enable or Disable the nVidia ROM.

Primary IDE Master/Slave

Highlight one of the items above and press <Enter> to access the submenu for that item.

Type

Select the type of device connected to the system. The options are Not Installed, Auto, CDROM and ARMD.

LBA/Large Mode

LBA (Logical Block Addressing) is a method of addressing data on a disk drive. The options are Disabled and Auto.

Block (Multi-Sector Transfer)

Block mode boosts IDE drive performance by increasing the amount of data transferred. Only 512 bytes of data can be transferred per interrupt if block mode is not used. Block mode allows transfers of up to 64 KB per interrupt. Select Disabled to allow the data to be transferred from and to the device one sector at a time. Select Auto to allows the data transfer from and to the device occur multiple sectors at a time if the device supports it.
