•The unit is turned on.

V-CHIP SET UP SUB RATINGS

When you select the ratings of TV-Y7,TV-PG,TV-14 or TV-MA you will have the option of selecting sub rating categories.

1 Select “V-CHIP SET UP”

Press the SETUP button on the	- TV/VCR SETUP -
	TIMER PROGRAMMING
remote control.	SETTING CLOCK
	CHANNEL SET UP
	USER’S SET UP
Press the Arrow button K or L to	B V-CHIP SET UP
	LANGUAGE [ENGLISH]
	CAPTION [OFF]

Press the SETUP button on the remote control.

Press the Arrow button K or L to select “V-CHIP SET UP”.

Then press the ENTER button.

Then press the ENTER button.

4Selecting “Sub-Ratings”

Press the Arrow button L or K to select the sub-rat- ing you wish to block. Then, press the ENTER but- ton twice.

4 Blocking TV programs
Press the Arrow button K or L to
select “TV rating” that you wish to	B TV–Y	)	[VIEW]

When you select [TV-Y7]:

Press the Arrow button L or K to select “FV” (Fantasy Violence). Then press the ENTER button to select [BLOCK] or [VIEW].

When you select [TV-PG], [TV-

14] or [TV-MA]:

•When you select the rating category and set it [BLOCK], the higher rating will change to [BLOCK] automatically. Also, the lower rating will change to [VIEW] automatically.

•When you set “TV-Y” to [VIEW], all ratings will change to [VIEW] automatically.

Selection	Rating Category Explanations
TV-Y	Appropriate for all children
TV-Y7	Appropriate for children seven and older
TV-G	General Audience
TV-PG	Parental Guidance suggested.
TV-14	Unsuitable for children under 14
TV-MA	Mature audience only

5Exit the V-Chip setting mode

Press the SETUP button on the remote control to exit the screen.

Press the Arrow button L or K to		L		[BLOCK]
	B	D		[BLOCK]
select “D”(Suggestive Dialog),		S		[BLOCK]
		V		[BLOCK]
“L”(Coarse Language),
“S”(Sexual Situation), or
“V”(Violence). Then press the ENTER button to
select [BLOCK] or [VIEW].
NOTE:
When you select [TV-MA], “D”	B TV–Y			[VIEW]
		TV–Y7 (	)	[VIEW]
does not appear on the TV screen.		TV–G		[VIEW]
		TV–14 (DLSV )		[BLOCK]
		TV–PG (DLSV )		[BLOCK]
• The sub-ratings which set to		TV–MA (	LSV)	[BLOCK]

[BLOCK] appears next to the rat- ing category in the TV rating menu.

5Exit the V-Chip setting mode

Press the SETUP button on the remote control to enter the setting and exit the screen.
