Connecting Audio Devices

For higher audio quality, you can send or receive sound through external audio devices.

Microphone Connector ( ) can be connected to an external microphone for recording voice or sound.

Audio Output Connector ( ) can be connected to the line-in connector of powered speakers with built-in amplifiers, headphones, or earphone set. This connector is compliant with S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital InterFace). You can connect audio equipment with S/PDIF to the computer. S/PDIF is a newer audio transfer file format that ensures a high quality digital audio output through optical fibers.

NOTE: When using external speakers/headphones or microphone, you cannot use the internal one.
