Settings Menu

• DIMMER (POWER OFF)

For turning on/off the light of the display window when the power is turned "Off".

Setting Values	Description
OFF	Turns off the light.
ON	Turns on the light.

OQUICK STARTUP

The quick startup setting can be specified as follows.

Setting	Description
Values
OFF	Starts up in the normal way.
ON	Operation is speedily enabled after turning
	on the power. (Quick start)

Memo:

•Setting to “ON” increases power consumption while the unit is in the standby mode.

OBUZZER OUTPUT

The buzzer setting can be specified as follows.

• REMOTE CONTROL SENSOR TONE

For setting whether to sound the buzzer when the remote control sensor receives signals.

Setting	Description
Values
OFF	Buzzer does not sound when the remote
	control sensor receives signals.
ON	Sounds the buzzer when the remote control
	sensor receives signals.

• ALERT/WARNING TONE

For setting whether to sound the buzzer when an operation is completed or when a warning message appears.

Setting Values	Description
OFF	Buzzer does not sound.
ON	Sounds the buzzer.

ODEFAULT SETTING

Restores the setting values on the setting screen to their factory default values.

Setting Values	Description
YES	Restores the factory default values.
NO	Returns to the initial screen without
	resetting the values.

Memo:

•“BD-VIDEO RATINGS” and “COUNTRY CODE” settings cannot be reset once they have been specified.

OBD-/DVD-VIDEO PB SETTING

BD-Video and DVD-Video playback settings can be specified using the “BD-VIDEO RATINGS”, “COUNTRY CODE”, “AUDIO LANGUAGE”, “SUBTITLE LANGUAGE”, and “MENU LANGUAGE” items.

• BD-VIDEO RATINGS

For setting the lower age limit for BD-Video ratings.

Setting Values	Description
NO LIMIT	All BD-Videos can be viewed.
254YEAR(S)-	BD-Videos that are subject to the age
0YEAR(S)	limit cannot be viewed.

Memo:

•In order to set the restrictions, password (four-digit number) registration is required.

•The password status becomes unregistered if the restriction setting is disabled. A new password can be registered after setting the age limit again.

•It is recommended that you note down the password in case it is lost or forgotten.

•COUNTRY CODE

For setting the country code.

For details on the country codes, refer to the "Country Code List" (A page 96) .

Memo:

•If the “BD-VIDEO RATINGS” setting is specified, you will be required to enter the password registered for the “BD- VIDEO RATINGS” in order to change the “COUNTRY CODE”.

•AUDIO LANGUAGE

For setting the audio sound when playing back BD-Videos or DVD-Videos.

For details on the language codes, refer to the "Language Code List" (A page 94) .

• SUBTITLE LANGUAGE

For setting the subtitle language when playing back BD- Videos or DVD-Videos.

For details on the language codes, refer to the "Language Code List" (A page 94) .

• MENU LANGUAGE

For setting the menu language when playing back BD- Videos or DVD-Videos.

For details on the language codes, refer to the "Language Code List" (A page 94) .
