Digital Noise Reduction (DNR)/Super Woofer/Cinema mode/Blue Screen

STARTED INTRODUCTION

To select the Digital Noise Reduction

If the receiving signal is weak and the picture is blurry, the picture may be improved when using this function. You can select the picture quality among five modes.

To set the Cinema mode to "AUTO"

A movie film features a picture with 24 frames a second, whereas the movie software like the DVD and so on that you enjoy watching television at home is changed to the picture of 30 (NTSC) or 25 (PAL) frames a second. To convert this signal to reproduce the smooth motion and picture quality, select the Auto mode.

Note

The selected On or Off mode and the adjusted level are stored in the “Memory” of the selectable sound (see page 15).

A DVD movie with a subtitle is input from a DVD player, the Cinema mode may not operate correctly.

To activate the blue screen

With the blue screen function On, the screen will automatically turn blue and the sound will be muted when no signal is being received.

Press the MENU button,

Notes

If the blue screen tends to miss-operate due to unstable signal strength or frequency, select “Off” in step 2.

While in the PC input mode (see page 22), the Blue screen is not available.
