Chapter 10: Customizing disc playback

To temporarily cancel the parental restriction:

1)Load the restricted content DVD that you want to play.

2)Use the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to input the system password after the “Enter Password” message, then press .

This suspension of the parental restriction setting applies until disc is ejected.

nPassword

Select this option to change the access password for the parental control setting.

1)Press  or  to select Password, then press .

2)Use the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to input the current password, then press .

If the password has not been set yet, key in “0000”. This is the factory default password.

3)Use the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to input the new password, then press .

You will be prompted to confirm the new password.

4)Use the Channel Number buttons (0–9) to input the new password again, then press .

5)Press one last time to confirm the changed password. Note this new password for future reference.

If you forget the system password:

1)Make sure there is no disc in the disc slot.

2)Press and hold down “4” on the remote control, then press VOLUME- on the TV control panel.

The “Initializing” message appears on- screen to indicate that the password has been reset to its default factory setting “0000”. All DVD Setup related settings will also be reset to their default factory values.
