Important notes about your

LCD TV

The following symptoms are technical limitations of LCD Display technology and are not an indication of malfunction; therefore, Toshiba is not responsible for perceived issues resulting from these symptoms.

1)An afterimage (ghost) may appear on the screen if a fixed, non- moving image is displayed for a long period of time. The afterimage is not permanent and will disappear in a short period of time.

2)The LCD panel contained in this TV is manufactured using an extremely high level of precision technology; however, there may be an occasional pixel (dot of light) that does not operate properly (does not light, remains constantly lit, etc.). This is a structural property of LCD technology, is not a sign of malfunction, and is not covered under your warranty. Such pixels are not visible when the picture is viewed from a normal viewing distance.

Note: Interactive video games that involve shooting a “gun” type of joystick at an on-screen target may not work with this TV.

Your TV may be connected to the internet to support firmware update, remote scheduling and e-mail capabilities. You should carefully review the information in this manual before connecting the TV to the internet or using these features.

If you use the remote scheduling capability of the TV, you will need an e-mail account that is used only for the TV. Use of non-dedicated accounts (e.g. accounts used to receive regular e-mail) will result in the deletion of e-mail in those accounts–even if they are used only for “test” purposes. See page 75 for more information.

If you set up any personal e-mail accounts on the TV, any person with access to the TV will be able to read mail from all of those accounts. See page 71 for more information.

If you connect the TV to the internet, any person with access to the TV will be able to configure the TV to access e-mail accounts for which they have account access information (user name, password and server addresses). See page 71 for more information.
