Operating Basics

■Any change or loss of the recorded contents of CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R,DVD-R (Dual Layer), DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+R (Double Layer),DVD+RW, DVD-RAM. HD DVD-R. HD DVD-R(Dual Layer) or HD DVD-RW media that may be caused by writing or rewriting with this product, or for any business profit loss or business interruption that may be caused by the change or loss of the recorded contents.

■Damage that may be caused by using third party equipment or software.

Given the technological limitations of current optical disc writing drives, you may experience unexpected writing or rewriting errors due to disc quality or problems with hardware devices. In view of this, it is good practice to make two or more copies of important data, in case of any undesired change or loss of the recorded contents.

Before writing or rewriting

■Based on TOSHIBA's limited compatibility testing, we suggest the follow-ing manufacturers of CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-R (Dual Layer), DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+R (Double Layer), DVD+RW, DVD-RAM. HD DVD-R. HD DVD-R(Dual Layer) or HD DVD-RW media, however, it must be noted that disc quality can affect write or rewrite success rates. Please also be aware that in no event does TOSHIBA guarantee the operation, quality or performance of any disc.
