*1 Storing files: This function allows you to store a scanned image to network folder set up previously.

*2 Storing TWAIN data: This function allows you to store the TWAIN data of a scanned image in the mem- ory of the equipment, and then retrieve it only with a client Windows computer.

*3 Onramp gateway function: This function allows you to have the relay box in the equipment receive faxes sent from G3 fax machines, convert them into Email, and then forward them to the Email addresses reg- istered in the relay box as an InternetFax.

*4 Offramp gateway function: This function allows you to receive an InternetFax/Email, convert it back into a fax message, and then forward it to another G3 fax machine.

When the terminating end is not compatible with the InternetFax, use this to shorten the fax transmission distance over the public switched telephone networks, so that the communication cost will be reduced.
