Q: Why doesn’t gigabeat disconnect properly?
A: The gigabeat will not disconnect properly if the gigabeat drive or any of the files in

Q: Why does the gigabeat convert my music files so I can’t transfer them from the
gigabeat to another device or PC?
A: The gigabeat prevents unauthorized distribution of music by encrypting it in order
to protect the rights of the artists who created them or the copyright holders of the
content. The gigabeat cannot differentiate between files already using DRM and
files not copy-protected so in order it encrypts all files transferred.
