Downloading music from a CD to your

PC

aInsert the music CD in the CD-ROM drive of your PC.

bClick the “CD Button” on the gigabeat room window.

Information of the music CD appears.

cCheck the tracks you want to download and click the “Record from audio CD Button”.

Downloading selected music (tracks) starts.

A message “Completed” appears in the progress status display when the download is completed.

See “Transferring tracks from the PC to the gigabeat” (>p.48) to transfer the downloaded tracks to the gigabeat.

/Note

-Clicking the “Ripping” in the “Tool” menu also permits transfers.

-Downloaded tracks are content-protected (supporting Windows Media digital rights management (DRM)) and saved in a folder created in the music synchronize folder (>p.54).

-Settings including the tone quality of tracks (bit rate of WMA) to be downloaded, methods to name files, whether content-protection is disabled or not can be changed.
