Exposure Compensation

This setting allows you to intentionally lighten or darken the entire image. Use this setting when the optimum brightness (exposure) cannot be obtained, for example, when the brightness between the subject and the background is not balanced or when the subject to photograph occupies only an extremely small part of the screen.

Set the mode dial to [ ], [ ] or [ ].

In the [ ] mode, exposure compensation is possible at the [ ] setting.

Press or to adjust the exposure.

The setting range is as follows. A larger value lightens the exposure, and a smaller value darkens the exposure.

The value that you set is displayed on the LCD monitor.

Press to increase (brighten) exposure, and to decrease (darken) exposure.
