7.Towardstheendofthefirmwareupgrade,apromptwillappearaskingyouifyouwant
tosettheOSDtoitsdefaultsettings.Ifyes,clickthe Yes button.Ifno,clicktheNo
button. The upgrade will continue.
8.Uponcompletion,thenewfirmwareversionwillbedisplayednexttotheupgradedunit
intheupgradeutility,andtheKVMscreenwillnolongerbeblackedout.
Note: A firmware upgrade generates one log file per session that displays a
chronological list of actions. You can read the log file in any ASCII text editor. The log
file is located in the Windows directory.
KVM Switch/SIU Reset
IntheeventtheKVMswitchorSIU(s)lockupduringthefirmwareupgrade process,orthe
consolesmouseandkeyboardarenotworking,youcanresettheKVMor SIU(s)usingthe
upgradeutility.Toperformareset,followthesteps:
Note: This will not affect any of the settings on the KVM switch or SIU(s).
1.Opentheupgradeutilityandcheckthecheckboxnexttothedeviceyou wanttoreset.
2. In the Optionsmenuatthetopofthescreen,selectthe Advanced/Reset option. This will
perform the reset of the selected device.
