Upgrade Firmware:

Use the controls in this tab to upgrade the printer’s firmware.

Note - Latest firmware files can be downloaded from Technical

Support section of the Magicard web site at www.magicard.com

Query Printer:

Collects advanced diagnostic data from the printer. If you experience a problem, you may be asked to email the results of the query to Magicard Technical Support for analysis

Ethernet:

Ethernet connection is not available with Avalon and Avalon Duo printers. The settings are visible because this Support Utility is also used for Magicard Rio 2e and Tango 2e printers which do have this capability.

Mag Encoding: For use with Mag encoding models only.

Self Test Magnetic Encode button – enables the user to confirm the integrity of the printer’s mag encoding operation. Direct Magnetic Encoding – the user can encode cards directly from this tool.

To use this tool:-

1.Ensure mag stripe cards are loaded in the card hopper.

2.Select the track(s) that you wish to encode and enter the data to be encoded.

3.Click on the ‘Encode’ button.
