Troubleshooting
If your BC45XLT is not performing properly, try the following steps.
Problem |

Scanner won’t work. | • | Check the batteries and replace |

| them if necessary. |
Improper reception. | • | Check the antenna connection or |
| • | reposition the antenna. |
| Move the scanner. | |
| • You may be in a remote area which | |

| could require an optional |

| antenna. Check with your dealer or |
|
| local electronics store. |
Scan won’t stop. | • | Check that the squelch is ON. |
| • Check the antenna connection. | |
| • Check to see if many of the channels | |
|
| are locked out. If so, the scanner has |
|
| less chance of finding an active |
|
| channel. |
| • Review each channel’s frequency to | |
|
| see if it is still stored in memory and |
|
| is correct. |
| • It is possible that none of the | |
|
| programmed frequencies are currently |
|
| active. |
Scan won’t start. | • Press the | key again. |
•Check that the squelch is ON.
•Check to see if all channels are locked out.
Weather Scan won’t | • | Check that the squelch is ON. |
