General problems Possible solutions
No handsets can make or
receive calls.
xCheck the telephone cord connection.
xDisconnect the base AC adapter for a few minutes;
then reconnect it.
A handset can’t make or
receive calls. xMove the handset closer to the base.
A handset can make calls,
but it won’t ring.
xMake sure the ringer is turned on.
xMake sure Silent Mode is turned off (see p. 15).
A handset is not working. xCharge the battery for 15-20 hours.
xCheck the battery connection.
The phone keeps ringing
when I answer on an
extension.
xYou may have to change the line mode. Contact
Customer Service for instructions.
Audio issues Possible solutions
Callers sound
weak or soft.
xMove the handset closer to the base.
xKeep the handset’s battery fully charged.
xIncrease the earpiece volume.
There’s a lot of
noise or static on
the line
xCheck for interference from appliances (microwave ovens, TVs,
etc.) or wireless devices (baby monitors, WiFi equipment, etc.).
Move the handset or base away from the interference source.
xIf you use a telecoil hearing aid, turn on T-coil mode (see p. 8).
xIf you have any service that uses the phone line, add a DSL or
telephone line filter (see page 25).
Caller ID problems Possible solutions
No handsets display Caller
