Screening Your Calls
You can use the answering system for c all screeni ng. While the sys tem takes a
message, you can listen on the b ase speaker (if you tu rn on
Call Screen)
or from a
handset. Only one handset c an screen cal ls at a time. If anot her handset tries t o
screen calls, it beeps and r eturns to stand by.

Using the System While You're Away from Home
You can dial in to your answering s ystem from any touch-tone phone . Before you
can use this feature, you mus t program a secur ity code.
Programming a Security Code
With the phone in standby, open the menu; s elect
Answering Setu p
, then select
Security Code
. Use the number keypad to enter a two -digit securit y code (
01
to
99
).
Press
menu/select
when you’re finished.

1. Call your phone nu mber & wait until t he system answers. ( If the system is tu rned
off, it answers after 10 rings & sou nds a series of beeps .)
2. During the g reeting or beeps , press
0
and immediately enter your secu rity code.
If you enter it incorrectly 3 time s, the system hang s up and returns to sta ndby.
