Testing the connection

To test your connection, try making a call. If your call connects, the settings are fine. If your call does not connect, check the following:

) Check the AC adapter cord. Make sure it is securely connected to the DC IN connector and to a standard AC power outlet.

2)Check to make sure the battery is fully charged. (If you don’t see the “battery full” icon, check to make sure the battery is properly connected.)

3)Change dial mode (instructions on page 20).

Selecting a Telephone Line

TEL-LINE allows you to set the default telephone line. The line you select will be used when you make a call. If you select Auto,the phone will default to whichever line is cur- rently free.

) Press the MENU soft key. Select the HANDSET SETUP or BASE SETUP menu, and then the SET TEL-LINE submenu.

2)Move the cursor to select AUTO, LINE1, or LINE2.

3)Press the OK soft key. You will hear a confirmation tone.
