Privacy Mode
If you don’t want another station to interrupt you while on a call, you can turn on privacy mode. As long as your sta- tion is in privacy mode, other stations won’t be able to join your call.
From the handset
a.If you set the Call Waiting Deluxe to on (see “Activating Caller ID on Call Waiting and Call Waiting De- luxe” on page 22)
) While on a call, press the MENU soft key.
2)Move the cursor to select CALL PRIVACY, and then press the OK soft key.
b.If you set the Call Waiting Deluxe to off While on a call, press the PRIVACY soft key.
PRIVACY MODE ON will appear in the display for 2 seconds, but the 
icon will appear and remain in the dis- play until the feature is turned off. Other stations will not be able to make a call and their display will list UN-
AVAILABLE.
To turn Privacy off, repeat the procedures listed above. PRIVACY MODE OFF appears.
From the base
While on a call, press the PRIVACY soft key. PRIVACY MODE ON will appear in the display for 2 seconds, but the 
icon will appear and remain in the display until the feature is turned off. Other stations will not be able to make a call and their display will list UNAVAILABLE. To turn Privacy off, press the PRIVACY soft key again. PRIVACY MODE OFF appears.
