10.IR–NetCommand Output/External Controller Input

153 and 249 Series. Use an IR emitter cable with this jack to send control signals to external IR remote-con- trolled devices. Alternatively, your professional installer can use this jack as the input for an external controller.

Connect to this jack and when the New Device Found screen appears, select operation of the jack as either an input (for an external controller) or as an output (for NetCommand IR control). See page 56.

11. USB

The TV can read JPEG photo files and mp3 music files from a USB device.

12. RS-232C

249 Series. Use the RS-232C interface to receive control signals from compatible home-theater control devices. See www.mitsubishi-tv.com for a list of control signals for this interface.

13. LAN

249 Series. Use the LAN Ethernet jack for streaming internet video to the TV. See page 37 for setup. Visit www.VUDU.com for details about VUDUservice.

14. USBa, USBb

249Series. Standard USB 5-volt, 500-milliamp power outputs you can use to supply power to an accessory device. For use with the VUDU wireless adapter, see page 37.
