CAUTIONS:

CAUTIONS:

Intended for indoor use only.

Do not expose to rain, moisture or sunlight.

Do not block ventilation slots.

Do not attempt to open outer casing. Electrical hazard may result.

Only use to operate 12-volt devices that are equipped with a power cord rated at a minimum of No. 18 AWG copper.

Do not insert fingers into the converter's 12 volt receptacle.

Keep children away from converter while it is operating.

Do not insert cigarette lighter into converter’s socket.

The 12 volt socket is wired so the center conductor is Plus (+) and the shell conductor is Negative (-). Make sure the 12 volt appliance plug is wired correctly.

Congratulations on your selection of the Vector AC/DC adapter. It is useful for a wide variety of applications including: Operating and charging cell phones, automotive accessories that require less than 4 Amps of 12 Volt current. This includes 12 Volt operated Thermoelectric Coolers/Warmers, Spotlights to 50 watt bulb rating, Portable Air Ionizers, and Charging Jumpstarters. The VEC002 is UL listed and is tested to USA (UL) and Canadian Safety Standards (cUL).

TO USE:

Connect converter's power cord to 110/120 Volt AC outlet.

Insert 12 Volt appliance plug into the converter’s socket.

TO DISCONNECT:

Remove 12 Volt plug from converter.

Disconnect converter's power cord from 110/120 Volt ac outlet.

Allow converter to cool for at least 30 minutes before storing.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

NO OUTPUT FROM CONVERTER–

12 Volt plug not making good connection in socket, rotate 12 Volt plug in socket.

DIRTY CONTACTS IN 12 VOLT SOCKET–

With power disconnected, clean socket and reinsert plug.

AC POWER IS NOT AVAILABLE–

Check AC outlet by plugging in another appli ance. If outlet has no power, check fuses, circuit breakers and wall switches to restore power.

FUSE IS BLOWN (OPEN)–

See fuse replacement.

TO REPLACE FUSE:

Disconnect AC and appliance from from converter.

Place your unit on a stable flat surface.

Remove screws from unit's cover, then remove cover.

Follow wiring from input plug to rubber "boot" that covers in-line fuse.

Carefully remove rubber boot, then remove fuse from fuse holder.

Remove fuse. If it is discolored or if its internal wire is broken, replace with identical type and amper age rating (2 Amp gma).

Replace fuse and rubber "boot".

Replace cover and screws without over-tightening.

Connect AC to converter and plug in appliance. Test the appliance for proper operation. If there is a problem with the converter, call Vector Technical Supportat 954-584-4446, Extension 119.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

Do not immerse converter in water.

Wipe outside surface of the converter with a damp cloth. The use of any other material may cause permanent damage and will void the warranty.
