Spider Inspection

Youshould inspect the burners/venturi tubes at least once a year, or
immediately if any of the following conditions occur.
• The smell of gas along with the burner flames appearing yellow.
• The grill does not reach the propertemperatures.
• The grill heats unevenly.
• The burners make a popping noise.

SPIDER AND INSECT INFESTATION

Spiders and insects can nest in the burners/venturi tubes of this
orany other grill, and cause the gas to flow from the front of the
burner.This is a very dangerous condition that can cause a fire
tooccur behind the valve panel, thereby damaging the grill and
making it unsafe to operate.
Troubleshooting
PROBLEM POSSIBLECAUSEAND/OR REMEDY
T-Seriesgrill won’t light when
theignitor is pressed
Makesure the control knob is off (no gas
ison). Remove the grill rack and the flavor
generatorplates. Watch the ignitor tip. You
shouldsee a spark jump from the tip of the
ignitorwhen the button is pressed. Do the
otherbur ners work? Make surethe ignitor
tipis clean and free from debris. Check
batteryto electronic ignition.
Burner flame is yellow or
orangeand a gas odor is
present
Checkthe bur ner inlet for obstructions.
Checkthe air shutter for proper adjustment.
Lowheat with knob on
“HIGH”
Isthe fuel hose bent or kinked? Is there
adequategas supply available? If only one
burner appears low,does the orifice or
burner need cleaning? Areany other gas
appliancesat the location below nor mal
rate?Is the air shutter too far open or
closed?Is the gas supply or gas
pressurelow?
Burner will not light Isthere a spark at the thermocouple? Can
youmatch light the bur ner using the flame
parts?
Burner lights, but will not
holdflame once button is
released
Isthe ther mocouple kinked or bent away
fromthe burner? Readjust to lay flat against
burner.Is the safety valve button being
depressedlong enough? Hold button in
untilbur ner remainslit. Check for black
spotson the infrared screen.
Ifyour grill rotisserie should
failto operate
Isthe electrical cord securely inserted in the
electricaloutlet? Is the circuit breaker open,
oris a fuse blown?

Replacing InteriorHalogenCanopy Lights

Donot touch bulbwith bare hands. Clean offany signs of oil
fromthe bulband handle witha soft cloth.
CAUTION
DISCONNECTTHE ELECTRIC POWERBEFORE REPLACING
BULB.
1. Unsnap glass light cover
using a screwdriver in the
access groove.
2. Firmly grasp light bulb and
pull out.
3. Replace with halogen bulb
using volt and wattage
requirementslisted on glass
cover.
4. Replace the light cover by
snapping glass cover onto
metal box.
5. Reconnect power.
