Prior to turning on the gas, inspect the gas supply tubing or
hose. Look for evidence of abrasion, cuts, wear and tear,or
other damage which could requirereplacement prior to use.
Make sure all burner control knobs areoff. Do not attempt to
light the burners if the smell of gas is present.
Check the connection with a soap and water solution after
attaching the hose. Make sure thereis gas in the tank and the
tank is upright.
CAUTION
Waitat least five minutes before relighting a hot grill to allow
any accumulated gas to dissipate. Keep a spray bottle of soapy
water near the gas supply valve and check the connections for
gas leaks beforeeach use.

Using Grill with Outdoor Approved Hoods

•Outdoor approvedhood models shouldbe installedin a covered yetnon-
enclosed(wellventilated) area.Outdoor hoodsaid greatly in smokeand
odorremoval, butshould not be expectedto eliminateentirely.They should
alsobe protectedfrom naturalelements (such asrain) as much as possible.
ALWAYSturn the outdoor hoodto the “HIGH” positionbefore lightingthe
grill.
•Keep the grill canopyclosed as muchas possible whencooking so smoke is
exhaustedout theback of the grill.This allows optimumperformanceof the
hood.
•During breezyconditions, theperformance of theoutdoor hood maybe
compromised.
