not ring when there is
an incoming call.
• Make sure the ringer is on (see p age 9).
• Make sure the telephone l ine cord and power adapter are plugged in pr operly (page 3).
• The cordless handset may be too far from the telephone base. Move it closer to the telephone

• If the other telephones in your home are having the same problem, the problem is in the wiring
or local service. Contact the lo cal telephone company (charges may appl y).
• Other electronic products can cause interference to your cordless telephone. Try installing your

radio towers, pager towers, cellular telephones, digital telephones, intercoms, room monito rs,
televisions, VCRs, personal computers, k itchen appliances, and other cor dless telephones.
Test a working telephone at the telephone jack. If another telephone has the same problem, the
problem is in the telephone jack. Cont act your local telephone company (charg es may apply)
.
• The telephone line c ord might be malfunctioning. Try inst alling a new telephone line cord.
• Remove and re-inser t the battery and place the co rdless handset in the telephone ba se.
• Wait for the cordless handset to synchro nize with the telephone base. Allow up to one minute
for this to take place.
