I cannot dial out • Make sure you have a dial to ne before dialing. The handset may take a se cond or two to nd
the base and produce a dial tone Thi s is normal Wait an extra second before di aling
• Make sure your phone is set to the correct dial mode for the type of service that you have (pulse
or touch tone) Refer to the Installation s ection of this user’s manual to set the dia l mode
• If the other phones in your home are having the issue, the problem is in your wiring or local
service Contact your loc al telephone company
• Eliminate any backgrou nd noise Noise from a television, radio or other appli ance may cause
the phone not to dial out properly. If you cannot eliminate the background noise, rst try muting
the handset before d ialing, or dialing fro m another room in you r home with less b ackground
noise
UNABLE TO CALL
TRY AGAIN displays
on my handset
• Only two ha ndsets of your phone system can be in use (off ho ok) at a time For example, if
HS1 and HS2 are on a call and HS3 presses TALK, UNAB LE TO CALL TRY AGAIN will
display Be sure only two handsets are in use at a t ime
• Move the hands et closer to the base You might have moved out of range
• If the han dset is in its base and the c harging light does not ligh t, refer to the Charge light is
off section in this troubl eshooting guide
• Reset th e base Unplug the unit’s electrical power Wait for 15 seconds t hen plug it back in
Allow up to one minute for the handset and b ase to reset
• Other electronic products can ca use interfere nce with your cor dless phone Try ins talling
your phone as far away from the se types of electroni c devices as possible: wire less routers,
radios, radio towers, pager towers, cell phones, intercoms, room monitors, televisions, personal
computers, kitchen applian ces and other cordless phones
