Beforeusing your dishwa sher for the first time:
Thewater soften er must be set manually, using the water hardness dial.
Thewater softener is design ed tor emove minerals and salts from the water, which would have
adetrimental or advers e effecton the op eration of the appliance. The higher the
contentof these mineralsand sal ts,t he harder your water is. The softener should be
adjustedaccordi ngt othe ha rdness oft he water in your area. Yourlocal Water Authority
canadviseyou on the hardnessof the water in yourarea.
Adjusting Salt Consumption
Thedishwasher isdesigned to allow f ora djustment in the amount of salt consumed based on the hardness of
thewaterused. This isintended tooptimise and customisethelevel o f salt consumption.
1. Unscrew thecap from the saltcontainer.
2. Thereis a r ing on the container with a na rrow on it (see figure
onthe side),if necessary,rotatethe ring in theanticlockwise
directionfrom the "-" Setting toward the "+" sign, based on the
hardnessof the water be ingu sed.
Itis recomm endedt hat adjustments should be made in
accordance with the following scheme:
