1.Before calling for
assistance...
Performance problems often result from little things you can find and fix without tools of any kind.
If nothing operates:
l Is the power supply cord plugged into a live circuit with the proper volt- age? (See Installation Instructions.)
l Have you checked your home’s main fuses or circuit breaker box?
If the oven will not operate:
l Is the Oven Selector turned to BAKE or BROIL?If Oven Selector isturned to TIMED BAKE,wait until the start time is reached.
l Is the Oven Temperature Control turned to a temperature setting?
lIs the automatic MEALTIMER’” Clock set correctly?
If surface units will not operate:
l Have you checked your home’s main fuses or circuit breaker box?
l Are surface units plugged in all the way?
l Do the control knobs turn?
If surface unit control knob(s) will not turn:
lDid you push in before trying to turn?
If the
l Are the Oven Selector and Oven Temperature Control set on CLEAN?
l Does the Start Time Dial show the correct time of day? Is the knob all the way out?
lIsthe Stop Time Dial set ahead to the time you want the cleaning cycle to stop?
lIs the Lock Lever all the way to the right?
l Does the oven temperature seem too low or too high? See page 15.
l If needed, have you preheated the oven as the recipe calls for?
l Are you following a tested recipe from a reliable source?
l Are you using pans recommended in the “Cookware” section on page 6?
l If baking, have you allowed 1Yzto 2 inches
lAre the pans the size called for in the recipe?
l Do the cooking utensils have smooth, flat bottoms and fit the sur- face elements being used?
