Disabling On/Off Switch

To disable the saw and prevent accidental startup, insert the safety pin through the holes in the ON button, and insert the end of the chain into the pin as shown in Figure 38.

Blade Selection

Ripping blade features (see Figure 39):

Best for cutting with the grain of the workpiece.

20-40 teeth.

Flat-top ground tooth profile.

Large gullets for large chip removal.

Crosscut blade features (see Figure 40):

Best for cutting across the grain of the workpiece.

60-80 teeth.

Alternate top bevel tooth profile.

Small hook angle and a shallow gullet.
