Skip this chapter if you have already set up the HomeCentre and installed the software by following the steps in the HomeCentre Quick Installation Guide.

This chapter contains some of the same information as in the HomeCentre Installation Guide, with more detail. It may come in handy if you are moving your HomeCentre and have misplaced the Quick Installation Guide, or need more information about a particular setup procedure.

HomeCentre system requirements

For your HomeCentre to work as it should, the recommended configuration is:

•A 486DX, or faster processor

•At least 16 megabytes (MB) of RAM

•Windows95

•100 MB free hard disk space (this is recommended to store the operating software and to have room for the swap file and the various images to be scanned)

•Minimum 2X CD-ROMdrive

Note The Xerox HomeCentre is a personal device and is not supported in network configurations.
