Firmware

Firmware refers to the operating software designed for your CD-R/RW drive. It is stored in the drive’s flash memory so that it can be rewritten.

Checking the firmware version in the CRW-F1UX drive

For Windows XP/2000 Professional

Check the firmware version with the CD writing software.

For Windows 98 Second Edition/Me

In the Device Manager dialog box (P. 19), select YAMAHA CRW-F1Eto display the YAMAHA CRW-F1E Properties dialog box, and then select the Settings tab.

The revision number varies depending on the default firmware version.
