PLAYBACK CONTROL OF VIDEO CD (Ver. 2.0)

This function is available for Video CDs, version 2.0 only. “PBC” will light up on the display when a version 2.0 disc is used.

The Playback Control differs with each disc. This section gives a basic explanation of Playback Control. Refer to the instruction manual for the disc for details.

Playback Control provides you with two types of new playback enjoyment.

Playback selection on a screen menu

You can select pictures, music and information to play back by selecting items on a screen menu. (Similar to having a conversation.)

Playback of high quality pictures

You can enjoy watching pictures which are four times higher in quality than moving pictures.

The first programmed track number will be displayed To resume playback, press the play/pause To cancel a programmed sequence There are several methods as described below Repeat play Repeat play modes SINGLE REPEAT (S REP) FULL REPEAT (F REP) When the unit is in the all disc play mode: Random play To cancel the random play Switching the time display [Example] To cancel DIGEST and INTRO operations To get a quick overview of a track or a disc (for Video CDs only) To watch scenes of a selected track on a Video CD To watch the beginning of all tracks on a Video CD RETURN: RETURN button NEXT: NEXT button PREV: PREV 1, 2, 3, 4: Track number input Basic operation Use the remote control transmitter for making Playback Control operations English To stop playback Press and hold the RETURN button for more than 2 seconds To return to a previous screen mode during playback Press the RETURN button once If the disc has index numbers TUNING OPERATION Automatic tuning 3 Press the AUTO/MAN’L button so that “AUTO” appears on the display (In this mode, stations are received in stereo or monaural automatically.) 4 Press the button to tune to a higher frequency, or Preset tuning To store stations (Example: To store a station to A1) 1 Tune in to a desired station (Refer to the previous page for tuning procedure.)
