The computer processing speed is too slow. / The
computer’s CPU meter indicates a heavy
processing load. / Playback response is delayed.
• Make sure that your computer satisfies the system
requirements.
• Try increasing the latency value.
• If you will not be using the driver, you can reduce
the load on the computer by disabling the driver.
(Windows) Right-click the driver icon on the task
bar then select [OFF].
(Macintosh) Click the driver icon on the status
menu, then select [Connection Manager] [OFF].
• (Windows) Refer to “Hints when using audio data”
in the TOOLS for n/Cubase AI4 Installation Guide.
An application, such as a DAW, fails to recognize
the driver (audio/MIDI).
Make sure that the driver (Connection Manager) is
enabled.
(Windows) Right-click the driver icon on the task
bar then select [ON].
(Macintosh) Click the driver icon on the status
menu, then select [Connection Manager] [ON].
• Are the other settings of the driver appropriate?
Recorded devices aren’t selected.
• Use an ASIO compatible application. Recording
by other than ASIO-compatible application is not
possible.
(Windows) Cannot change driver settings, such
as sampling frequency. / Cannot disable the
driver.
• If any application that uses the driver is running,
quit the application, then try to change the driver
settings.
(Windows) Cannot uninstall (remove) the driver.
• Right-click the driver icon on the task bar to
display the pop-up menu, disable [Auto On] in the
menu, and restart the computer. Then, try to
uninstall the driver again.
Cannot use other connected Firewire devices
correctly.
• Turn the driver (Connection Manager) off.
(Windows) Right-click the driver icon on the task
bar then select [OFF].
(Macintosh) Click the driver icon on the status
menu, then select [Connection Manager] [OFF].
The driver icon in the task bar/status menu has
disappeared.
• Follow the steps below to start the driver.
(Windows) Select [Start] [(All) Programs]
[Startup] or [mLANTools], then select mLAN
Manager.
(Macintosh) From [Application] [mLAN Tools]
double-click [mLAN Manager].
• (Macintosh) Make sure that the latest version of
the mLAN Tools has been installed. If so, install
the TOOLS for n again.
Cannot use other connected IEEE1394-equipped
devices correctly.
• Turn the driver (Connection Manager) off.
(Windows) Right-clicking the driver icon on the
task bar, then select [OFF].
(Macintosh) Click the driver icon on the status
menu, then select [Connection Manager] [OFF].
