Remote control
This section describes the function of each control on the remote control. See “REMOTE CONTROL FEATURES” on page 59 to operate other components with this remote control.

CHP/INDEX
1Infrared windowOutputs infrared control signals. Aim this window at the component you want to operate.
2TRANSMIT indicatorFlashes while the remote control is sending signals.
3STANDBYSets this unit in the standby mode.
Turns on the power of this unit.
5Input selector buttonsSelect the input source and change the control area.
6Display windowShows the name of the selected source component that you can control.
7Operation buttonsProvide functions such as play, stop, skip, etc. for use when operating other components.
8LEVEL (TITLE)Selects the speaker channel to be adjusted and sets the level.
9Cursor buttons u / d / j / iUse to select and adjust DSP program parameters or SET MENU items.
0TEST (RETURN)Outputs the test tone to adjust the speaker levels.
ASound field program/Numeric buttonsUse to select sound field programs or input numbers.
BUsed for changing the input source name in the display window (see page 62).
CCLEARUsed for clearing functions acquired when using the learn and rename features, or setting manufacturer codes (see page 63).
DLEARNUsed for setting up the manufacturer code or for programming functions from other remote controls (see pages 60 and 61).
ESLEEPSets the sleep timer.
FINPUT MODESets the priority (AUTO, DTS, ANALOG) for the type of signals received when one component is connected to two or more of this unit’s input jacks (see page 34). Priority cannot be set when MULTI CH INPUT is selected as the input source.
GMULTI CH INSelects the MULTI CH INPUT mode when using an external decoder (etc.).
