1.1.1.2 Ad-Hoc

In case you prefer to set up a small independent wireless workgroup without an AP, use the Ad-Hoc mode.

Ad-hoc mode does not require an AP or a wired network. Two or more wireless clients communicate directly to each other.

1.1.1.3 Access Point Mode

You can set the ZyXEL G-220F in access point mode. The following figure shows a network example.

In the example, the ZyXEL G-220F is installed on computer A and set to operate in access point mode. Computer A shares Internet connection to the wireless LAN, so wireless stations B and C can access the Internet.
