Chapter 9 LEDs and Troubleshooting

The following table describes the behavior of the lights on the PLA-407.

LIGHTS	ICON	COLOR	STATU	DESCRIPTION
			S
POWER		Green	On	The PLA-407is on and receiving power.
			Blinking	The PLA-407is starting up.
				It also indicates the PLA-407is trying to
				connect with another device using the ENCRYPT
				function.
				The encryption process failed (120 seconds time
				out)
				Blinking at the same time as the HomePlug light
				indicates an unsuccessful connection if you have
				used the ENCRYPT button.
				The Power LED blinks when it is in Low Power
				mode. Refer to Section 1.1.5 on page 18 for
				details on this feature.
			Off	The PLA-407is not receiving power.
HomePlug		Green	On	The PLA-407detects another Powerline
				adapter. The data transfer rate is greater than
				40 Mbps.
		Amber		The PLA-407detects another Powerline
				adapter. The data transfer rate is between
				12~20 Mbps.
		Red		The PLA-407detects another Powerline
				adapter. The data transfer rate is between 0~12
				Mbps.
		Green/	Blinking	The PLA-407is communicating with another
		Amber/		Powerline adapter. Data is being transmitted
		Red		and/or received.
				Blinking at the same time as the POWER light
				indicates an unsuccessful connection if you have
				used the ENCRYPT button.
			Off	The HomePlug port does not detect another
				Powerline adapter.
ETHERNET		Green	On	The ETHERNET port is on and ready and the
				PLA-407detects a device connected to it.
			Blinking	The PLA-407is communicating with a
				networking device connected to it.
			Off	The PLA-407does not detect any devices
				connected to its ETHERNET port.
